Myrtle Beach Course List
Pearl East
Located on the outskirts of the coastal town of Calabash, NC lies the Pearl East Golf Course. A Dan Maples creation, this traditional parkland style course begins its trek in a Carolina pine forest making its way onto the rolling terrain of this track and finishing up in the marsh along the Calabash River. Herons and Anhingas are a common site wading in the marsh. This risk and reward course will punish a bad shot but will also reward a good one. The thick rough off the fairways will devour any stray shots resulting in a rash of lost balls. Most of the greens are crowned so you get the feeling that you are always putting uphill. The closing hole, the longest at 572 yards, bends slightly to the left, with the river left off the bluff and a waste area to the right. Unless you can hit like a pro, you'll have to carry the water in two in order to reach the slightly elevated green.
