Woodland Valley Country Club
Woodland Valley Golf course is a beautiful well-groomed course located within minutes of Myrtle Beach. A fun course to play, this modern Russell Breeden design is set among an array of unspoiled wetlands and an untouched Lowcountry forest with purposefully placed bunkers and lakes to add to the challenge. The naturally undulating landscape is sprinkled with some artificial mounding and elevation changes of as much as 65 feet. The marsh comes into play on most of the holes but is particularly prevalent on the par 4 seventeenth that is just about completely enveloped by the wetlands and requires an approach shot over a pond.
The only course in the area that implements Jensen Ultra Dwarf greens, this par 72 plays 6928 yards from the Championship tees, is sloped at 139 with a course rating of 74.0. Woodland Valley is the former Diamondback Golf course so the sight of a native eastern Diamondback rattlesnake should come as no surprise. This course can show its fangs and strike at any time so watch out or you might get bit!
