Wizard
The combination of raised tee boxes, ornamental grasses, and the challenging back to back island greens on the second nine are only a portion of the Wizard's appeal. A phenomenal 1,000,000 cubic yards of mother earth was excavated to create the wicked elevation changes and mounding. The Scottish style feel and large stone-castle clubhouse sets the Wizard apart from the majority of courses in Myrtle Beach. This Dan Maples design has large open fairways that house the moderate bunkering, gorse-like bushes surrounding many holes, consistently good greens and rock bridges that transverse the streams flowing into the 100-acre lake the course was built around. The par 4 eighteenth hole is a double island with the tee box and fairway divided by a finger lake with your next shot being to an island green. A taste of the Scottish countryside is right here at the beach!
A Par 71, the Wizard measures 6721 yards from the Championship tees, has a slope of 125, course rating of 72.0 and Penn G2 Bentgrass greens. Feel the Wizards power if you dare!
