Wild Wing Plantation - The Avocet

Myrtle Beach Golf course video player.

A Larry Nelson design, Wild Wing Avocet offers a creative selection of elevated tees and greens, double fairways, grass bunkers, and even a double green serving two holes. The Avocet has wide landing areas, contoured fairways with a fair amount of sand and consistently some of the best Bentgrass greens on the beach. The wind and tactically positioned water hazards can put a damper on what was a good score. Considered the courses signature hole, the "Valley of Sin" features a double fairway leading up to a green that appears to be easy but lurking to the left front is a re-creation of the holes infamous namesake found at St. Andrews. With holes equally as challenging named "Ledge," "Double Cross," "Jigsaw," "Double Dare," and "Shadows," you know you are in for a treat!

Playing 7127 yards from the Dark Teal tees, this par 72 is sloped at 133 with a 74.6 course rating, the Avocet is both challenging and a fair test of a player's ability. Don't miss the opportunity to play this unique course.
