Wicked Stick

Myrtle Beach Golf course video player.

This Scottish flavored links style course is the brainchild of PGA favorite, John Daly and Clyde Johnston. The wide-open spaces feature deep pot bunkers, expansive dune fields, large waste areas with gorse-like plantings and well planned water hazards. The absence of fairway bunkering promotes a "grip it and rip it" philosophy, so find your target and let it fly. Offering something for everyone, the long-ball hitter can let loose while the shorter hitter has plenty of shot options from the generous landing areas. One of the courses signature holes is the par 3 number 7. This 265 yard monster has a large double green and grass bunkers everywhere! There are plenty of bump and run opportunities so with sound iron play and a credible short game, a low score is obtainable.

This par 72 course plays 7001 yards from the "Daly" tees, is sloped at 117 with a course rating of 68.2 rating. Tifdwarf Bermuda is the grass of choice on these fairly large, firm and fast greens. The par-3's are fun and the par 5's are long. Come and see why Wicked Stick has become one of the most popular golf courses in Myrtle Beach.
