Sea Trail Byrd
The Willard Byrd Golf Course at Sea Trail Resort and Golf Links is both inventive and beautiful. Using his own imaginative touch, Byrd used decorative sand & waste bunkers to create a course that is both challenging to play and delightful to look at. Constructed around several man-made lakes ranging from 14-20 acres in size, every hole requires a uniquely different approach. The restricting tree line, numerous doglegs, ponds and greenside bunkers put a premium on accuracy. Well thought out shots are critical if you are to have a chance on Byrd's undulating greens. The course comes to a climax with the dramatic 18th hole. This par 5 marvel stretches 469 yards in between to 2 picturesque ponds and finishes up at the charming Jones-Byrd Clubhouse.
This women-friendly course is rated 4 stars by Golf Digest this par 72 has Bentgrass greens, a slope of 130, a course rating of 72.7 and measures 6750 yards from the Championship tees. A touch of Byrd brilliance is only minutes away.
