Pearl Golf Links - West

Pearl Golf Links - West

Located in North Carolina on Highway 179, just north of Calabash over the NC/SC border, The Pearl Golf Links evolved from the Dan Maples design of unspoiled coastal Carolina pine forests and marsh preserve lying along the Calabash River, draining into the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean. From the total 900 acres of this wildlife haven, teeming with golden eagles, deer, and bear, expect to find what Golf Digest termed one of “the best new public courses in America,” routinely rated as 4-star.”

The Pearl - West has been designed more with the links style in mind, stretching out across open terrain with tall tufts of pampas grass punctuating each hole. As with most coastal courses, expect an abundance of water and sandy bunkers, and the 16th hole in particular comes in to its green with a special bonus of the view over the Calabash river. Note the careful maintenance work on greens and fairways. Also enjoy the Maples-designed clubhouse with its views of both marshland courses, consistently ranked 4 stars among the area’s golf courses.

The Pearl - West is 6793 yards in length on Bermuda grass with a course rating of 74.9, a slope of 131.
