Jaguars Lair Golf Course at Ocean Ridge Plantation

Currently under construction, with a scheduled opening no sooner than 2009, the 807 acres of the future Jaguar’s Lair is on Highway 179, Sunset Beach, NC, the former Angel’s Trace. Tim Cate is creating this 18-hole course, so expect high quality TifSport Bermuda fairways, plus other fine design features found on the other Ocean Ridge “cat” courses of Panther's Run, Tiger's Eye and Leopard's Chase. Other characteristics of a Cate course are risk-reward aspects for the golfer, plenty of options at each hole, ball-seeking bunkers, waste areas, and the promise of low scores for those whose aim is accurate.

This extension of Ocean Ridge Plantation will also include in its design 1100 single family houses around the course, plus a golf club house, tennis complex, indoor racquet court, swimming pool, and fitness center.
