Brierwood

Brierwood

Depending on traffic along Highway 17, leave yourself about 30 minutes or more to drive north from Myrtle Beach to reach Brierwood Golf Club, a medium-length course designed by Ben Ward and laden with plenty of golfing fun and challenge, loads of Southern hospitality, and unmatched customer service. It is considered one of the most frequently played regulation courses in the north part of the Grand Strand, and you will find out why when you tee off through the serene coast forest toward the well defined greens.

This mature course rambles through residential properties and plenty of fresh water to offer you plenty of opportunities for testing game skills and clubs on these well-designed, water-view fairways and readable greens. As an example, 14 of the 18 holes include water in their design, and the fairways are considered spacious. Later, spend some time in the Blue Heron Bar and Grill for a chat with hospitable locals.

This par 72, 18-hole course has 6723 yards with a 72.4 course rating and a slope of 132.
