Black Bear Golf Course

Myrtle Beach Golf course video player.

Featuring 23 sparkling clear finger lakes as its predominant feature, Black Bear is a classic Parkland design with wide generous fairways and charitable landing areas. Lovingly nicknamed "The Beast," Black Bear wanders through a mixture of stately oaks, tall pines and an array of natural treasures found on this site. With so many lakes lurking throughout the course, water does come into play on most every hole so any missing balls are most likely lying in a watery grave at the bottom of one of them. Player friendly, a wide variety of shot opportunities will surely have you using every club in your bag. One of the notable holes on this Tom Jackson design is the par 5, number 18. This 533 yard dog-leg right provides the golfer with a birdie or eagle possibility by simply playing over the water instead of around it. Easier said than done!

Black Bear plays 6787 yards from the Black tees, has a slope of 137 and a course rating of 72.9 with new Champion Bermuda Grass greens. Be on the lookout though, a visit by the course's namesake would not be out of the question!
