Barefoot Resort and Golf - The Norman Course

Myrtle Beach Golf course video player.

With only 60 acres of mowable grass on the entire course, the Barefoot Norman course at Barefoot Resort resembles a course found in the deserts of the southwest, without the desert, using the stunning waste areas and natural vegetation to frame each hole. The bunkers have sloping white faces with an occasional sod wall bunker cunningly positioned to capture what looked like a brilliant shot. There are plenty of bump and run opportunities providing players many shot options. Seven holes paralleling the Intracoastal Waterway and open, gently undulating greens only add to the natural vista of the course. The Greg Norman developed GN-1 turf blankets the fairways while the approach areas are Tifdwarf Bermuda and like a Great White Shark, the Zoysia rough will devour any stray balls.

A1 Bentgrass was used for the greens of the par 72 course, measuring 7035 yards from the Platinum tees, is sloped at 136 with a 73.9 course rating. Norman's friendly design offers many shot options for golfers of any caliber and will provide a rousing round of golf for all players.
