Built in between the Love and Dye courses, the Barefoot Fazio winds its way through the live oaks, pines, sand and native grasses of the Barefoot Resort. In the tradition of many European courses, the Fazio does not return to the clubhouse until after all 18 holes have been played, but it continues its journey through the outward nine. This classic Lowcountry course incorporates extensive tree cover, lots of elevation changes and a number of lakes to make it both strategically challenging and visually stunning. There is so much sand that you will swear you made a wrong turn and mistakenly ended up on the beach. The natural habitat has been kept intact as evident in the long cart ride through the haunting swamp that looks like something straight out of the Everglades. Teeming with wildlife, don't be surprised if you see some turtles, snakes, or even bears sunning themselves in the warm Carolina sun.
The Barefoot Fazio is a par 71, playing 6834 yards from the Platinum tees, with a 139 slope, a course rating of 73.7 and beautiful A1 Bentgrass greens. Great holes abound on this strikingly picturesque course.
