Noted (or notorious?) architect Pete Dye retains his reputation of building memorable - and challenging - courses with The Dye course at Barefoot Resort. Quintessential Dye, this visually pleasing course is filled with all the trials and tribulations you would expect from this dynamic designer. As with all his creations, there is plenty to test your courage and your shot making skills. There are numerous dog-legs including 2 doubles, the 543 yard 8th and the 574 yard 16th. The tall rough of centipede and zoysia grass that can consume any errant shot, lots of water, an abundance of fairway and greenside sand traps and waste bunkers so large you would swear you were on the beach, are only some of the perils encountered on this demanding layout.
A Par 72 measuring 7343 yards from the Tournament tees, the Dye Course at Barefoot is sloped at 149, has a course rating of 75.3 with L93 Bentgrass greens. Accuracy is the name of this game, and a long day awaits those who don't bring their "A" game. Enjoy your round on this daunting course.
