Golf Tips:

Improve your green-reading skills by imagining a bucket of water being poured on the green in front of you. Which way do you think the water would flow? This is the direction your ball will roll when you hit it.

On bunker shots, dig your feet in the sand so that the ball is higher than your feet. This will force you to strike the sand, not the ball. Swing easily so that the club hits the sand, and the sand hits the ball. Then, follow through.

Featured Packages for Individuals and Golf Groups

The new 2010 Spring Golf Book, has listing of exciting and money-saving golf packages on premier courses along the Grand Strand. Coming as a group saves money! 1.877.582.7870 or MyrtleBeachGolf.net.

King's North at Myrtle Beach National
This 1996 Arnold-Palmer-designed golf course has its #6, #14, #16 & #18 holes featured in the book named "The 100 Greatest Holes along the Grand Strand" because of their design and appeal to golfers. Its par-3 3rd hole with its island green and South-Carolina-shaped sand traps serves as the signature hole for the Myrtle Beach area as a whole. Deservedly, King's North is one of the most visually exciting and challenging courses in America. Early notice to our golf agents just might get you on this course as part of our Myrtle Beach National golf package!

Tidewater Golf Club Plantation in North Myrtle Beach
Opening to the public in February of 1990, Tidewater continues to rank as #1 because of its fine architectural design (due arguably to some Rees Jones input and ultimately Ken Tomlinson) and highly conditioned golf course, but golfers love coming here, not so much for its design, but for its challenge. With its alignment near broad marshland and the Intracoastal Waterway testing players more than most of the other Grand Strand golf courses, Tidewater draws players from all over the world. Check out the par-4 4th hole with its dogleg left around the waterway, careening in roller-coaster approach to an elevated green-great for long drives. Let us know that you want to play the Burroughs and Chapin golf package for a great day at Tidewater!
